National User Forum and User Conference
UnityUK aims to be truly national; offering a unified service to enable UK-wide resource sharing. Consequently we have formed a national user group comprising of elected representatives from each regional user group. These representatives are invited to attend a national meeting to represent local views, contribute to the national agenda and feedback on strategic issues.
The National User Conference is an annual one day event for UnityUK subscribers. The inaugral UnityUK User Conference was held on 10 July 2007. Presentations, focus groups and information sessions looked at current and future development plans and how on-going collaboration between subscribers, TCR and OCLC would further the development of the first national resource-sharing service. Subscribers may download copies of the presentations from the UnityUK members website.
Regional User Groups
We appreciate that resource sharing and inter-library loans is all about working together and often operates within strong regional groups. On this basis, UnityUK User Groups have been established for each region and are an ideal opportunity for users to:
- network with ILL professionals from other organisations
- share experiences and best practices
- provide valuable feedback on current usage and issues
- learn about service updates and new releases
- influence service development and direction
- meet members of the OCLC UnityUK team
For details of future regional User Group meetings then please see the UnityUK members area.
